This week was
pretty good! we were able to have a game day activity and it was pretty good
because we had some nonmembers came, which was what our ward mission leader was
hoping. It was a 3 1/2 hour activity, but little kids are so energized that
they can go forever. I feel like we as HSK elders and sisters really put a lot
of work into it, and used our faith, and we had miracles. The sisters were able
to find a new investigator from the activity.
As for church it
was also pretty good because we were able to have a person we met last week
come to church, and he has also been reading the Book of Mormon! :) we are
happy that he is a new investigator. He is a rapper and pretty cool. It is an
interesting situation. He found the church online and came and wanted to find
out more. He is christian and wants to know why we receive so much
flack for what we believe. He does kind of have a hard time with prophets but
we hope that by reading the Book of Mormon, he can find his answer.
I also loved that we were able to go to the temple this week. I received some much needed revelation that I felt like I needed and afterward we practiced with Elder Love for the lion rock musical fireside. It is really long to go from here to Kowloon because of the time it takes to travel, but it will be worth it!
Also I read in
D&C 20:5 and 6 it is talking about why Joseph Smith had a quiet period
where he did not receive revelation, and this built my
testimony because I realized that a false prophet would
not criticize himself. This revelation reveals to us the weakness of
Joseph Smith. so that built my testimony of the prophet Joseph Smith
Also Elder Quentin L Cook is
coming in a month!!! (I think its him) but an apostle is coming and I am so
excited!! its funny because Hong Kong does not have any mission that borders
it, we are bordered by china and the sea. so we don't tune into a broadcast
but we get to have an apostle come!! i am so very excited :)
Insights
we are the branches from the tree
of life whose core is Christ. We have all the fruit that grow on us and often
times forget to acknowledge Christ who if feeding and nurturing those
fruit and we get to feel the success of his work. He is the greatest seed
planter.
